About This Role
- Own and evolve the entire frontend architecture & stack for a large TypeScript/React codebase (~690K lines), deciding technology direction and build tooling.
- Lead consolidation and governance of the component system, migrating product components to a standardized set and enforcing usage policies.
- Drive measurable frontend performance improvements using budget metrics and CI tools, while collaborating closely with designers to deliver high-quality product experiences.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years experience in production frontend development, with deep expertise in React and TypeScript.
- Proven ownership of a frontend codebase including architecture, build tooling, component systems, testing, and release safety.
- Demonstrated experience moving and owning measurable performance metrics (e.g., bundle size reduction).
- Location: Remote in India, Bangalore preferred; must overlap with US team 9 PM–2 AM IST working hours.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in maintaining and scaling large complex frontend codebases and aligning multiple teams to a uniform component system.
- Comfortable critiquing and collaborating on product design with strong product UX sense and a data-driven mindset towards performance.
- Skilled at integrating and securing code contributed by automated coding agents, with a focus on safe testing and deployment practices.
