About This Role
- Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Micro Focus COBOL on Unix/Linux or Windows platforms.
- Analyze business requirements and prepare technical design documents; perform testing and support production applications within SLAs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and support Agile/Scrum processes to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Minimum Requirements
- 4-8 years of hands-on experience with Micro Focus COBOL development on Unix/Linux or Windows.
- Strong knowledge of COBOL programming, modular application design, shell/batch scripting, and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or DB2).
- Proficient with version control tools (e.g., Git), build and deployment processes, and familiarity with SDLC and coding standards.
- Education: B.Tech/B.E. in a relevant field.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in full software development lifecycle for enterprise application maintenance and enhancement.
- Able to troubleshoot and resolve application issues efficiently to meet SLAs.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies and collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams including business analysts and QA.
