Set and govern functional-safety strategy and organizational practices across automotive portfolio ensuring technical authority and consistent safety lifecycle application.
Make executive decisions on open safety risks, oversee systemic risks and corrective actions from development through production and operations.
Represent safety posture to customers and senior leadership; drive capability development, succession planning, and safety governance models.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
15+ years of extensive automotive engineering leadership experience with functional safety accountability.
Deep knowledge of ISO 26262 lifecycle, confirmation measures, safety cases, and Automotive SPICE.
Experience in portfolio planning, organizational design, risk governance, and customer negotiation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven record of measurable improvement in delivery and functional-safety capability within automotive domains.
Experienced in managing cross-functional teams and driving safety governance at executive levels.
Familiarity with assessor/auditor roles, SOTIF, semiconductor safety, and developing global centers of excellence is a plus.
