Provide technical leadership for architecture, strategy, and evolution of Wabtec's Train Handling portfolio ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and customer needs.
Lead complex system design decisions and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and business requirements across product lifecycle.
Champion AI-enabled engineering practices, identify opportunities for automation, advanced analytics, and autonomous train operations, and mentor engineers.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 10 years hands-on experience in design, requirements development, and implementation involving Engineering Systems, Hardware/Software Engineering, and/or Data Information Systems.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Work Experience Required: Minimum 10 years relevant experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced technical leader with proficiency in complex, multi-disciplinary systems including software, controls, automation, embedded systems, and safety-critical applications.
Strong systems engineering skills across full product lifecycle and ability to influence product strategy and technology roadmaps across teams.
Familiarity with AI-enabled technologies, advanced analytics, optimization, and railroad operations or transportation safety-critical industries preferred.
