Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot for Walmart's transportation and supply chain systems.
Build and maintain distributed, event-driven systems leveraging Kafka and implement end-to-end feature delivery from development through production.
Collaborate across teams to solve logistics challenges while maintaining system performance, reliability, and scalability; participate in CI/CD and production support on-call rotations.
Minimum Requirements
3-7 years of backend engineering experience.
Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot; experience with scalable microservices and event-driven architectures (Kafka preferred).
Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), testing frameworks (JUnit, Mocha, TestNG, Selenium), and databases (NoSQL Cosmos DB preferred, Azure SQL or similar relational DB).
Bachelor's degree in CS, computer engineering or related area with 2 years experience, or 4 years software engineering experience (Master's preferred but optional).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in large-scale distributed systems and microservice architecture within logistics or supply chain domains.
Comfortable working in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure, and familiar with building resilient event-driven backend services.
Capable of end-to-end feature ownership from development to production support and embedding best engineering practices including testing and CI/CD.
