Provide Level 2/Advanced technical support and resolve complex production issues on Mainframe platforms (z/OS, JCL, JES, DB2, CICS, MQ).
Drive operational improvements including performance tuning, incident management, automation, and adoption of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles within Mainframe Operations.
Identify and implement AI/AIOps integrations and automation to enhance platform reliability and operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
7+ years of strong hands-on Mainframe technical experience with Level 2/Advanced Support skills.
Working knowledge of z/OS, JCL, JES, DB2, CICS, MQ, scheduling, storage, networking, and Mainframe automation tools.
Understanding of SRE concepts and ability/willingness to apply SRE practices in Mainframe operations.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in troubleshooting complex Mainframe incidents independently and managing technical escalations effectively.
Ability to collaborate across Mainframe, SRE, Application, and Infrastructure teams and communicate technical issues clearly under pressure.
Proactive in adopting automation, AI/AIOps, and modern operational tools to drive continuous improvement and operational stability.
