About This Role
- Lead and mentor a small team of software engineers, driving projects end-to-end from design through maintenance with focus on scalability and reducing technical debt.
- Own enhancement of large-scale distributed systems involving website crawling and information extraction using cloud technologies.
- Collaborate directly with Product, UX, and Data Science teams to build cutting-edge tools and establish best practices around software development, microservices, and devops.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in software development or engineering roles.
- Strong full stack development experience, including 8+ years hands-on with Java, Web-services, Spring/Spring Boot, and React JS or similar front-end frameworks.
- Proficiency with RESTful API design, Agile development environments, relational databases (MSSQL, Postgres), cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP), and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in leading and mentoring software engineering teams within a cross-functional and geographically distributed environment.
- Skilled full stack developer capable of navigating the entire software development lifecycle and interfacing as the primary technical contact across product and design teams.
- Familiar with architecture trade-offs, domain-driven design, and adoption of AI-based development tools to improve engineering velocity and code quality.
