Develop and integrate control plane and data plane software for Cisco IOS XE Enterprise Switching, Routing, Wireless, and IIOT products.
Design, implement, test, and document scalable and robust software components meeting technical standards and system stability requirements.
Drive continuous improvement in development lifecycle, engineering processes, and innovate towards creating patentable IP.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree + 5 years related experience, or Master's + 3 years, or PhD with no experience.
Proficient in C/C++ programming with experience in control plane or data plane software for networking products.
Experience with wireless technologies (802.11ac/ax/be), Linux/RTOS/Networking OS internals.
Knowledge of software architecture, system design, and experience with traffic generators/analyzers is a plus.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in complex networking protocol implementations (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and system architecture.
Strong background in high availability, IPC, memory management, distributed communications, serviceability, containers, or virtualization.
Ability to rapidly learn new technical skills and adapt to changing business requirements in a large-scale enterprise environment.
