Design, develop, and implement new software components and applications for Remote PHY devices and FDx AMPs enabling multi-gigabit services.
Support full software lifecycle for Remote PHY and FDx AMP products, including development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and upgrades in large-scale networks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage both on-site and off-site developers across locations to ensure successful delivery and operation of network access components.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
6-8 years of software system development and management with 5+ years in real-time system and DOCSIS mod/demod system development.
Proficiency in C/C++, scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl), and advanced Linux/Unix programming and configuration.
Experience working in a DevOps environment with tools like Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, and Jira; knowledge of DOCSIS, DSG, PacketCable, and PCMM protocols is required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced with developing complex next-generation access network components with strong background in network protocols and real-time system development.
Skilled collaborator capable of leading and coordinating distributed teams, including off-shore developers, in agile and continuous integration environments.
Strong expertise in Linux/Unix systems programming, modern design practices, and familiarity with cable network technologies, standards development, and industry groups such as CableLabs or SCTE.
