Own and resolve network WAN/LAN trouble tickets, ensuring successful customer issue resolution and service restoration.
Monitor and troubleshoot customer network connectivity using tools like Zenoss or Logic Monitor; remotely configure WAN equipment (routers, firewalls, switches).
Engage with carriers, 3rd parties, and participate in incident management activities including command bridges and major incident response.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 2 years of WAN/LAN implementation, support, and troubleshooting experience.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, OSI Model, SD-WAN, routing protocols (BGP, IGRP, RIP, OSPF), NAT, access lists, and priority queuing.
Experience with command line configuration of Cisco, SonicWall, Juniper, ADTRAN, Meraki, Fortinet, or similar devices.
Work Experience Required: Minimum 2 years WAN/LAN support and troubleshooting experience explicitly mentioned.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in supporting data networks and telecom functions in mid-size enterprises, including VPN, MPLS, Ethernet, Cellular, and MultiLink T1s.
Familiar with network monitoring, traffic capture tools, security concepts (encryption, IPsec, VPN tunnels), and VoIP is a plus.
Comfortable working in 24x7x365 environments with shift flexibility and interacting effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
