Sr. Engineering Manager (OpenBlue Data Platform)

Lead engineering delivery and management of a multi-level team (managers, leads, developers, QA) for key parts of OpenBlue's data platform including development, migrations, and stability.

Own sprint delivery, project plans, timelines, dependencies, and production deployment cadence ensuring quality releases.

Collaborate with product and architecture teams on technical roadmap and report status and risks to leadership and cross-team stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

10+ years in software engineering with 3+ years managing managers or leads.

Experience with large-scale data platforms (cloud data warehousing, Iceberg, Snowflake, Postgres) and event-driven architectures using Kafka, SNS/SQS, Event Hubs, or similar.

Strong Agile (Scrum/Kanban) delivery experience and ability to lead on-site engineering teams; strong stakeholder management with US/UK leadership; English proficiency.

Experienced engineering leader comfortable managing complex, multi-level technical teams driving platform unification and cloud data initiatives.

Strong cross-functional collaborator skilled at coordinating across distributed teams and stakeholders particularly in global contexts (US, UK).

Possesses technical breadth with familiarity in event-driven systems, observability, and production support environments.
