About This Role
- Lead design, modernization, administration, and resiliency engineering of enterprise database platforms for multi-region banking systems.
- Define technical strategies and drive cloud and DBaaS transformations ensuring data governance and security compliance.
- Provide technical leadership including mentoring senior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into database architectures.
Minimum Requirements
- 12+ years experience in database engineering/administration with at least 3 years in lead or architect role within large-scale financial services.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Expertise with Oracle (19c/21c, RAC, Data Guard) and/or PostgreSQL (v12+, Patroni), plus proficiency in NoSQL platforms (MongoDB, Redis).
- Hands-on scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform; experience with cloud DBaaS platforms like AWS RDS/Aurora.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced database architect skilled in high availability, cloud migration, and automated DevOps practices in enterprise financial services.
- Capable of leading large technical teams and managing vendor relationships with major database software providers.
- Strong track record in performance tuning, security compliance, and disaster recovery aligned to regulatory standards.
