Own end-to-end delivery including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support for AS/400 + LANSA + RPG applications, batch processes, and loan servicing workflows.
Provide production, DevOps, and infrastructure support ensuring reliability and troubleshoot complex application and integration issues using IBM iSeries tools.
Drive modernization of legacy processes and platform improvements, implement secure-by-design solutions, and leverage enterprise AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding quality and team productivity.
Minimum Requirements
3+ years formal training or applied experience in software engineering.
Expert proficiency in CLP, CLLE, RPGLE (including SQLRPGLE and free-format RPG), LANSA, and Visual LANSA IDE development.
Strong SQL skills, preferably with DB2 / DB2 for i, plus advanced debugging/root-cause analysis experience using IBM iSeries tools such as STRDBG and STRISDB.
Experience with IBM MQ, CDC Replication, or equivalent technologies, plus ability to deliver production-grade solutions across full SDLC in distributed teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in working in controls-driven, financial services or commercial lending environments with understanding of loan servicing and credit products.
Comfortable with complex system analysis and communicating technical risks and options to cross-functional teams and leadership.
Skills in leveraging AI-assisted software development tools responsibly, including validation and secure handling of AI outputs to improve software delivery.
