Technical Lead Manager (Connect AI)

Lead and own development of AI-native platform services and database connectors that handle high-scale, critical data pipelines for 2,000+ enterprise customers.

Drive the design, implementation, and operational reliability of pipelines integrating modern data stacks like Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, and data lakes such as Apache Iceberg, ensuring observability, security, and exactly-once delivery.

Manage and grow a technical team with full hiring authority, embedding AI into workflows including design, testing, and production debugging, while maintaining ~60% hands-on coding.

8+ years of experience in backend or distributed systems development.

At least 1 year experience leading a team, formal or informal leadership counted.

Proficient in Java or another JVM language with production experience using Kafka and Kubernetes.

Experience building and running multi-tenant, high availability systems handling large volumes of data; experience with LLMs in production (agents, evaluations, retrieval, prompt systems).

Technical leader who has managed AI-integrated engineering workflows and infrastructure at scale involving complex distributed systems.

Experienced in production incident response including on-call rotations, SLAs, and delivering hard feedback while maintaining relationships.

Operationally empowered, capable of owning architectural decisions and hiring with direct access to engineering leadership for rapid scope growth.
