Controls Tech - EIM - Java Full Stack Tech Lead

Lead design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale Java fullstack applications focusing on scalable, fault-tolerant architectures aligned with Citi standards.

Drive adoption of cloud-native, DevOps, and site reliability engineering practices including containerization (Kubernetes/OpenShift) and CI/CD automation.

Lead and mentor engineering squads while collaborating with product, business, and architecture teams to deliver high-throughput, resilient financial systems.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

At least 12 years of professional software engineering experience with 3+ years in a Technical Lead or Principal Engineering role, preferably in financial services, fintech, or large enterprise.

Proficiency in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, React.js or Angular for frontend, and cloud technologies (OpenShift, AWS, GCP).

Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift), RESTful APIs, event-driven systems (Apache Kafka, Solace), and security standards (OAuth2, mTLS).

Experienced technical leader with a track record of architecting end-to-end fullstack solutions in complex, regulated financial environments.

Strong command over cloud-native migration and container orchestration strategies ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.

Expertise in engineering governance, regulatory compliance, and driving engineering excellence through mentorship and rigorous standards enforcement.
