About This Role
- Lead and oversee software engineering teams to design, build, and operate AutoZone’s global data platform with focus on cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Own delivery commitments ensuring predictable, high-quality, and on-time delivery of secure and scalable software products using Agile and DevOps.
- Manage software engineering best practices including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, automated testing, and collaborate across teams for security and compliance integration.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 15+ years professional software development experience with leadership over data platforms.
- 5+ years leading or managing data engineering teams.
- Experience with Java (Spring Boot), relational and NoSQL databases, ETL pipeline development, Google Cloud Platform cloud-native tools, and CI/CD/containerization technologies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in hands-on technical leadership balancing deep technical skills and people management in data platform environments.
- Strong familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services including GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Apigee, and data platforms.
- Skilled at driving engineering discipline, security/compliance integration, and cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced, global environments.
