Own end-to-end migration of multiple Java Spring Boot services and on-prem Apache Kafka clusters to AWS-managed services.
Assess on-prem dependencies, define cutover strategies, and implement re-platforming including containerization and AWS-native authentication.
Ensure zero data loss cutover, infrastructure as code provisioning, observability setup, and cost/security optimizations on AWS.
Minimum Requirements
8+ years building production back-end Java systems; 5+ years with Spring Boot (2.x and 3.x).
5+ years hands-on Apache Kafka experience as producer/consumer including topic design and ops.
3+ years substantive AWS experience with at least one end-to-end on-prem to AWS migration involving Kafka.
Deep knowledge of AWS services: EKS/ECS/Fargate, MSK, VPC, IAM, RDS/Aurora, S3, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, KMS, Route 53, ALB/NLB, CloudFront, API Gateway, plus infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or AWS CDK).

Skilled in both modernization and lift-and-shift migration strategies with strong operational ownership through assessment, cutover, and stabilization.
