About This Role
- Architect and deliver large-scale distributed platform components focused on scalability, quality, and operational excellence.
- Lead complex technical initiatives and define engineering best practices including code reviews, unit testing, automation, and design reviews.
- Provide technical leadership on complex projects, troubleshoot production issues, and research/adopt technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
Minimum Requirements
- 15–20 years of hands-on engineering experience in distributed systems, data platforms, or large-scale backend infrastructure.
- Deep programming expertise in Java including JVM internals, memory models, garbage collection, and performance tuning.
- Proven experience with distributed systems architecture, Kubernetes, and expertise in data ingestion solutions at scale.
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL) and knowledge of replication, fault-tolerance, and high availability strategies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior-level engineer with demonstrated ability to design and operate reliable, scalable distributed systems at very large scale.
- Strong background in JVM and Java performance optimization with hands-on DevOps experience for operationalizing distributed platforms.
- Experienced in building modular, extensible platform components and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver end-to-end data pipeline solutions.
