Perform electrocoat thickness prediction, fluid access & drainage studies, oven bake simulations, and flow behavior analysis to address paint shop process problems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to solve business challenges in CFD using API customization and AI methodologies, implementing continuous process improvements.
Represent paint simulation in global product development councils, achieve KPIs like 100% First Time Quality and On Time Delivery, and use tools such as StarCCM+, ALSIM, Teamcenter, and CAE/FEA tools.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Chemical, or Automobile Engineering (Thermal Engineering specialization preferred).
6+ years of paint process and simulation experience at Automotive OEMs or Engineering Organizations.
Proficient in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, CFD, AI technologies (ML frameworks like Pytorch, TensorFlow preferred), and coding skills (C/C++, Java, VB script, Python, Power BI, etc.).
Willingness to work in a hybrid model with mandatory office presence four times per week; no immigration sponsorship provided.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in automotive paint shop processes, materials, facilities, and quality frameworks (GVDP, GLP, Quality Chain, DFMEA-PFMEA).
Skilled in surrogate modeling, reduced-order modeling, regression techniques, and handling large-scale CFD datasets with feature extraction.
Able to work with intercultural multidisciplinary teams, deliver results through multiple interfaces, and participate effectively in global technical forums.
