About This Role
- Own and prioritize the product backlog for risk and control systems to ensure continuous, sprint-ready delivery of features.
- Translate complex business requirements into detailed epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the engineering team, and drive sprint execution and clarity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and lead agile ceremonies, manage dependencies and risks, and leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years in technology roles within financial services, including 5+ years as an execution-focused Product Owner in Agile/Scrum.
- Experience in Risk and Controls, Operational Risk, or Regulatory functions mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; management degrees (MBA) considered a plus.
- Proficiency with agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and strong technical fluency; certifications like CSPO, SAFe POPM, or CBAP are highly desirable.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in product ownership with a strong focus on execution and quality within risk and controls domains in financial services.
- Capable of managing end-to-end agile delivery, including backlog creation, stakeholder management, and risk/ dependency mitigation.
- Familiar with applying AI-enabled tools and concepts to enhance software delivery and governance in complex, regulated environments.
