About This Role
- Lead and oversee procurement and supply chain activities for the Pune plant managing about 3,000 parts and supervising stores and logistics handling 6,000–8,000 parts.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels, supplier performance, and cost reduction for direct, indirect, and imported materials including fabrication, casting, hoses, and cylinders.
- Coordinate with internal teams and central SCM for planning, cost alignment, compliance, and implement advanced material handling to improve operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (DME/BE).
- 5–8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operations.
- Experience in vendor management, inventory control, procurement, and handling imported components.
- Experience in manufacturing environments involving fabrication, casting, hoses, and cylinders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing high-volume procurement operations with team leadership responsibilities.
- Strong negotiation and supplier performance management skills, able to independently develop alternate suppliers.
- Familiar with manufacturing supply chains and capable of integrating with multiple internal stakeholders and central teams for cost and supply alignment.
