About This Role
- Lead discovery and documentation of all data consumers and dependencies for migration from on-premise to Amazon S3 cloud data warehouse.
- Analyze data usage patterns and query logs to validate active dependencies and support risk assessment for zero-disruption migration.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to prioritize migration waves and deliver clear artifacts (dependency maps, risk registers) to ensure business continuity.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience in data migration or related roles.
- Proven experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and complex data migration projects.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or another object-oriented programming language.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms, specifically Amazon S3; experience with automation via scripting or tooling.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, and AWS cloud, combined with experience in complex data migration involving data lakes and warehouses.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed data lineage mapping and usage analysis with an operational focus on minimizing service disruption during migration.
- Experience working at the intersection of technical engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable migration plans.
