About This Role
- Design, develop, and enhance common networking infrastructure components supporting multiple Layer-2 and Layer-3 protocols within a product engineering team.
- Develop high-performance, low-latency system software in C, focusing on core data structures such as packet processing pipelines and routing/forwarding databases.
- Collaborate with protocol teams and cross-functional groups to deliver scalable, robust frameworks and participate in the full product development lifecycle including debugging and optimization.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
- 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in networking or systems product development.
- Strong mandatory expertise in C programming including memory management and performance tuning.
- Onsite work expected primarily from HPE office.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building scalable networking infrastructure frameworks, not individual protocol stacks, with strong system-level and data structure design skills.
- Comfortable working closely with protocol teams on routing, switching, VPN, and overlay technologies (OSPF, BGP, ISIS, EVPN, VXLAN).
- Capable of full lifecycle product engineering including performance debugging and working in a collaborative cross-functional environment.
