Design, develop, and enhance common networking infrastructure components supporting multiple Layer-2 and Layer-3 protocols within a product engineering team.
Develop high-performance, low-latency system software in C, focusing on core data structures such as packet processing pipelines and routing/forwarding databases.
Collaborate with protocol teams and cross-functional groups to deliver scalable, robust frameworks and participate in the full product development lifecycle including debugging and optimization.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in networking or systems product development.
Strong mandatory expertise in C programming including memory management and performance tuning.
Onsite work expected primarily from HPE office.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in building scalable networking infrastructure frameworks, not individual protocol stacks, with strong system-level and data structure design skills.
Comfortable working closely with protocol teams on routing, switching, VPN, and overlay technologies (OSPF, BGP, ISIS, EVPN, VXLAN).
Capable of full lifecycle product engineering including performance debugging and working in a collaborative cross-functional environment.
