Lead migration of on-premises relational databases to AWS, ensuring secure, reliable, and low-downtime cutovers.
Assess and plan homogeneous/heterogeneous migrations including schema and SQL conversion across database engines.
Automate deployment with Infrastructure as Code and optimize performance post-migration using AI-driven tools.
Minimum Requirements
5 to 7 years of experience in database migration or related roles.
Strong expertise with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS migration services (DMS, SCT, RDS, Aurora, EC2).
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Knowledge of cloud security (KMS, SSL/TLS, IAM) and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in leveraging AI/ML tools for SQL translation, workload analysis, and post-migration performance tuning.
Capable of designing secure AWS architectures and handling complex cutover and rollback strategies.
Familiar with prompt engineering and validating AI-generated code, with awareness of downstream AI/ML data ecosystems.
