About This Role
- Lead migration of on-premises relational databases to AWS, ensuring secure, reliable, and low-downtime cutovers.
- Assess and plan homogeneous/heterogeneous migrations including schema and SQL conversion across database engines.
- Automate deployment with Infrastructure as Code and optimize performance post-migration using AI-driven tools.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience in database migration or related roles.
- Strong expertise with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS migration services (DMS, SCT, RDS, Aurora, EC2).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of cloud security (KMS, SSL/TLS, IAM) and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in leveraging AI/ML tools for SQL translation, workload analysis, and post-migration performance tuning.
- Capable of designing secure AWS architectures and handling complex cutover and rollback strategies.
- Familiar with prompt engineering and validating AI-generated code, with awareness of downstream AI/ML data ecosystems.
