Design and implement ultra-realistic, long-horizon simulation environments ("SimLabs") for advanced AI agents.
Develop policy-aware verification and evaluation systems measuring capability and safety beyond benchmarks.
Execute and design post-training runs to achieve frontier performance on open-source AI models using high-quality data.
Minimum Requirements
Eligible to undertake a 12-week internship as a PhD student (start dates flexible).
Technical foundation in CS, Math, Physics, or equivalent demonstrated work (Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD or proven experience).
Strong software engineering skills, especially in Python and scalable, robust infrastructure development.
ML knowledge including foundation models' construction, evaluation, and optimization.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Demonstrates research intuition and technical depth with experience in building agentic environments or reinforcement learning (RLHF/RLAIF).
Has a history of impactful ML research or maintaining influential open-source projects, e.g., publications at NeurIPS, ICLR, or ICML.
Experience with fine-tuning and evaluating large-scale models to deliver frontier performance on open-source benchmarks.
