Own the architecture and strategic direction for backend firmware systems supporting AI accelerators within Azure infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and security across SoC platforms.
Lead and mentor engineering teams through the entire firmware development lifecycle including bring-up, validation, manufacturing, and productization of production-ready firmware.
Serve as the technical liaison among hardware/software architects, developers, validation, and integration teams to align firmware with product goals and drive system-level debugging and performance optimization.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of professional experience in firmware or embedded software development with a focus on multicore systems and scalable architecture.
Proven experience leading complex SoC bring-up efforts and delivering production-grade firmware solutions.
Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check and other specialized security screenings required for this role.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Deep expertise in low-level firmware development with expert proficiency in C/C++/Rust applied to embedded systems.
Strong background in computer architecture concepts including CPU modes, memory hierarchies, interrupts, virtualization, and SoC integration.
Experience working on firmware for scalable, multithreaded, and heterogeneous computing environments with exposure to RTOS scheduling and hardware accelerator integration.
