About This Role
- Build and maintain web platforms and backend services including customer-facing dashboards, APIs, integrations, and data pipelines.
- Take features and integrations through all phases: design, development, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and iteration with gradual ownership of components.
- Contribute to technical design decisions and improve system reliability, performance, and engineering processes in a distributed team environment.
Minimum Requirements
- 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production software.
- Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Production experience with Python and Node.js/NestJS, strong SQL and relational database skills, and experience designing and maintaining REST APIs.
- Experience with distributed system concepts, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud platforms (Azure or equivalent), and secure coding fundamentals.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in full lifecycle backend development with practical ownership from development through production support and improvement.
- Comfortable working independently and across time zones in a distributed engineering team with strong written communication skills.
- Familiar with building resilient, scalable, and secure APIs and backend systems in production environments with a focus on operational reliability.
