About This Role
- Plan and execute migrations of on-premises relational databases to AWS with minimal downtime using AI-accelerated tools.
- Design secure AWS target environments (RDS, Aurora, EC2) and develop cutover and rollback plans for migration.
- Automate deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) and optimize database performance post-migration.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in database migration or related roles.
- Strong expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Db2 and SQL tuning.
- Proficiency with AWS migration tools such as DMS, SCT, and AWS cloud services including RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, VPC, IAM.
- Experience with automation scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in leveraging AI/ML tools for database migration tasks including SQL translation, script generation, and performance monitoring.
- Strong understanding of AWS security practices including KMS, SSL/TLS, IAM least-privilege and compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Capable of validating AI-generated outputs critically to avoid logic errors, with knowledge of downstream AI/ML data pipelines and architectures.
