Designs, develops, and troubleshoots backend Java architectures and performance-critical services using secure coding standards and enterprise AI coding tools.
Leads development and maintenance of RESTful/gRPC services, messaging/streaming platforms, and relational/NoSQL database integrations.
Drives CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, containerization/orchestration, and production cloud workloads while ensuring security, observability, and reliability through incident response and remediation.
Minimum Requirements
3+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
Proficiency in Java backend development and at least one scripting language (Python/Bash).
Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, Docker/Kubernetes, and major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and understanding of secure SDLC including TLS/mTLS and vulnerability management.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in designing and leading backend service architectures with strong operational focus on performance, security, and reliability.
Skilled in integrating messaging platforms and databases with knowledge of observability practices including metrics and SLIs/SLOs.
Able to critically evaluate AI-generated code outputs and guide peers on responsible AI use and secure development practices.
