Own end-to-end development of core commerce platform features from database schema design through REST API implementation to Next.js UI.
Maintain and extend backend API routes including authentication, validation, rate limiting, and API documentation using Fastify 5 and Zod.
Integrate third-party services (Razorpay, Algolia, Upstash Redis) and ensure compliance with data protection regulations such as DPDP Act 2023.
Minimum Requirements
3–5 years of professional software engineering experience with production TypeScript or JavaScript systems.
Proficient in Node.js backend development including REST API design, JWT and cookie authentication, middleware, and SQL schema design and migrations.
Experience building and deploying features using React and Next.js (App Router or Pages Router).
Familiarity with monorepo tooling (Turborepo, Nx, or similar) and testing frameworks like Vitest or Jest.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in full-stack TypeScript projects with strong ownership over feature delivery including backend, frontend, and database layers.
Comfortable working in a startup environment shaping product and engineering culture with a bias for shipping and technical correctness.
Domain knowledge or experience with e-commerce platforms, payment gateway integrations, and Indian regulatory compliance (DPDP Act 2023, PCI-DSS) is a plus.
