Design, develop, optimize, and manage enterprise-scale data pipelines and scalable data platforms primarily on AWS using Python, PySpark, and Apache Spark.
Implement and maintain data governance practices including data quality frameworks, metadata management, lineage, and compliance with regulatory and privacy standards.
Lead collaboration with multiple stakeholders to define and promote data governance standards, mentor junior engineers, and drive operational excellence through automation and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
5-7 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or related fields.
Strong hands-on expertise in Python, PySpark or Apache Spark, SQL development, and AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Lambda).
Practical experience in Data Governance implementation including Metadata Management, Data Cataloging, Data Lineage, and Data Stewardship.
Bachelor's Degree preferred; relevant combination of coursework and professional experience considered.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in building scalable cloud-based data platforms aligned with modern Data Architecture and Lakehouse principles, particularly on AWS.
Capable of designing and enforcing data governance controls in complex enterprise environments with compliance and regulatory requirements.
Operates independently with strong technical leadership and mentorship capabilities, driving standards adoption and solving complex data quality and performance issues.
