About This Role
- Design and implement enhancements and programming changes for systems software, networking infrastructure, and control-plane software.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, debug, and resolve code and integration issues for assigned application components.
- Collaborate with management and internal and outsourced development partners to communicate design status, project progress, and resolve issues throughout all project phases.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- 6-9 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++, data structures, algorithms, and Linux/FreeBSD OS concepts.
- Experience with routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), MPLS signaling protocols (RSVP, LDP), and multicast protocols (PIM, IGMP).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in designing and debugging complex network systems and subsystems software with strong analytical skills.
- Able to communicate technical architectures and negotiate solutions with management and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Layer 2 switching technologies (EVPN, VXLAN, VPLS, L2VPN) and AI-assisted software development practices is a plus.
