Lead modernization of core APIs and platform interfaces to support AI-native workflows and automated consumers, ensuring high concurrency and reliability.
Define and enforce company-wide standards for AI-ready APIs including schema consistency, validation, observability, versioning, and operational safeguards.
Provide technical leadership by shaping long-term modernization strategy, driving architectural alignment, mentoring senior engineers, and enhancing platform quality across multiple engineering teams.
Minimum Requirements
10+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in backend systems, distributed architectures, and platform engineering.
Proven experience architecting and modernizing complex APIs and mission-critical legacy platforms at scale without disrupting business operations.
Strong understanding of API contracts, schema design, authentication, authorization, observability, and integration reliability.
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India with requirement to work 2-3 days/week onsite.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strategic technical leader capable of influencing architecture across multiple teams in a large engineering organization focused on AI-centric platform evolution.
Experienced in balancing ideal future-state architectures with production constraints and incremental delivery in complex, distributed system environments.
Familiarity with technologies and concepts such as gRPC, Protocol Buffers, GraphQL, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI orchestration, event-driven architectures, and platform governance is a plus.
