About This Role
- Designs and delivers backend Java architectures for performance-critical services, including developing secure, high-quality production code.
- Leads CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud production workloads (AWS/Azure).
- Uses AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve code quality and productivity while ensuring security and peer-validated outputs.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
- Expertise in Java backend development, RESTful/gRPC services, messaging platforms (Kafka, MQ), and relational/NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools with ability to critically validate outputs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in secure SDLC, secrets management, TLS/mTLS, vulnerability management, and operational reliability (SLIs/SLOs, incident response).
- Skilled in observability (metrics, logging, tracing), alerting, and driving systemic reliability improvements in collaboration with SRE teams.
- Familiar with responsible AI integration into engineering workflows and able to guide teams on secure and effective AI tool usage.
