Lead design and delivery of scalable, reliable Java microservices and streaming/batch data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Drive architecture decisions and own services deployed on GCP including Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC for high-throughput data solutions.
Mentor engineers, review code, collaborate with product, data engineering and platform teams, and enforce testing and quality strategies.
Minimum Requirements
15+ years professional software engineering experience with deep Java expertise and leadership in large systems.
Hands-on experience with GCP services (Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Compute/GKE).
Experience building and optimizing data pipelines (streaming and batch) with relational databases PostgreSQL and Oracle.
Experience working in global banking, insurance, or financial organizations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven ability to design and operate microservices architectures at scale with strong system design knowledge in distributed systems and concurrency.
Experience in data engineering on cloud platforms, including practical expertise with Apache Beam and Spark is advantageous.
Skilled in driving technical decisions, mentoring peers, working cross-functionally, and optimizing workflows with AI tools responsibly and ethically.
