Lead architecture-level decisions for an embedded Linux platform covering Yocto build system, Linux kernel, and multiple BSPs.
Own kernel maintenance tasks including backports, CVE remediation, and stable rebases across LTS lines with deep debugging of kernel, drivers, and networking issues.
Drive OSS/upstream strategy and reliability of release-critical systems, while providing technical leadership and mentoring within the team.
Minimum Requirements
8–12 years experience in embedded Linux development.
Strong expertise in Linux kernel architecture, drivers, debugging, and C programming; Python for tooling/automation is mandatory, C++ is a plus.
Extensive hands-on experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded, BSP development, multi-board bring-up, and hardware-software integration.
BE/BTech or ME/MTech in CS, ECE, EE, or equivalent degree.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in working with multiple CPU architectures including ARM and x86; familiarity with PPC and RISC-V is advantageous.
Proven technical leadership skills demonstrated through mentoring and team knowledge systematization.
Comfortable resolving complex cross-layer issues spanning kernel, BSP, build system, and customer deployments in a safety-critical embedded Linux environment.
