Design, build, and scale backend systems and frontend interfaces for the Threads & Composer experience within HighLevel Conversations handling billions of messages monthly.
Own end-to-end system responsibilities including architecture, design docs, code, tests, rollout, and production health focused on high throughput, low latency, and zero data loss.
Model and optimize data layers across SQL and NoSQL databases and build queueing, caching, and rate-limiting layers to maintain platform stability under burst traffic.
Minimum Requirements
4+ years of backend engineering experience with deep hands-on experience in Node.js and/or Go.
Experience with queueing systems such as Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Cloud Tasks including understanding delivery semantics and backpressure.
Proficiency with Redis or other in-memory data stores for caching strategies and failure modes.
Strong skills in SQL or NoSQL database schema design, indexing, and query optimization at high volume.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in complex distributed systems including consistency trade-offs, idempotency, and fault tolerance maintaining correctness under partial failures.
Demonstrated ability to write clear design documents and rigorous test cases as a habitual practice.
Proficient in using AI-assisted engineering tools to produce accurate, production-quality code efficiently and with high quality review standards.
