Own design, implementation, and automation of distributed Linux-based system solutions supporting 24/7 computing operations for Walmart Stores and Distribution Centers.
Maintain and optimize system performance including virtualization, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure CI/CD pipelines.
Troubleshoot complex system issues rapidly to minimize downtime across international operational sites.
Minimum Requirements
6+ years experience designing, implementing, and automating distributed system solutions.
Hands-on Linux administration in enterprise environments (Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS, Debian, SuSe SLES).
Advanced scripting/programming skills in Bash/PowerShell and Python/Golang.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3 years’ infrastructure engineering experience OR 5 years’ experience without degree requirement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible and knowledgeable in virtualization technologies (VMware, Nutanix).
Familiar with container orchestration and management (Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD pipeline integration.
Capable of managing multiple infrastructure services including hardware knowledge (Lenovo, Dell, HP, IBM) and tools like ServiceNow and Jira in fast-paced global team environments.
