About This Role
- Drive design, development, and maintenance of scalable platform capabilities and shared infrastructure supporting Walmart eCommerce Search services.
- Lead DevOps automation, CI/CD implementation, performance engineering, monitoring, incident response, and continuous operational improvements for Search systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship for engineers, promoting engineering standards and delivering measurable improvements in reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable software systems, infrastructure or tooling.
- Proficient in backend programming with Java, Python, Go or similar languages.
- Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring and incident management.
- Bachelor's degree in CS or related field with 4 years software engineering experience, or 6 years software engineering experience without degree.

- Experienced individual contributor with strong ownership of complex engineering initiatives and proven technical leadership skills.
- Expertise in building microservices, distributed systems, shared platforms, and developer productivity tools in large-scale environments.
- Skilled at applying system design principles focused on scalability, reliability, and platform standardization with operational mindset and strong understanding of business/customer needs.
