Develop, unit test, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java applications for Walmart’s global supplier payment processing.
Implement and troubleshoot microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies in a distributed, cloud-based environment.
Contribute to automation through building CI/CD pipelines and utilize containerization and monitoring tools for efficient delivery and support.
Minimum Requirements
3 to 6 years of software engineering experience, specifically in Java and Spring Boot technology stack.
Proficient with Java 8+, lambda functions, modular/testable code, and testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful services, relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB), caching (Redis/Memcache), and pub-sub systems like Kafka.
Bachelor’s degree in CS, CS Engineering, software engineering or related field with minimum 2 years software engineering experience, or 4 years software engineering experience without degree.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in building and operating microservices in cloud or distributed systems with good debugging and monitoring skills (e.g., Prometheus, Splunk).
Familiar with modern DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and public cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
Demonstrates knowledge or interest in integrating AI/ML tools like LLM APIs and scripting (Python), supporting innovation in supply chain and financial tech domains.
