Own and enhance an export ingest service translating video and metadata into Bedrock streaming platform ingest API ensuring reliable and consistent content delivery.
Design, implement, and operate Kotlin-based backend services with complex update logic handling metadata changes, retries, idempotency, and status tracking in distributed event-driven systems.
Manage production deployment and automation tasks on AWS Kubernetes (EKS), including monitoring, incident response, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm, GitLab CI/CD).
Minimum Requirements
2-5 years of relevant backend engineering experience working with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
Proficiency in Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kafka/Kafka Streams, Avro schemas, PostgreSQL/Aurora Serverless, DynamoDB, and AWS (EKS, RDS, VPC).
Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD), Python and Shell scripting for automation.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience/coursework.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in building and operating complex data ingest pipelines within distributed event-driven systems using Kafka and cloud-native technologies.
Comfortable with end-to-end ownership of production systems including automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization in AWS Kubernetes environments.
Strong technical skills in backend system design, schema/version management, and resilience patterns such as retries, idempotency, and data consistency in cross-system integrations.
