Design, develop, and validate braking control algorithms (ABS, EBS, ESC, TCS, HSA, RSC) for commercial vehicle brake ECUs using MATLAB/Simulink from concept to production.
Perform requirements engineering, feature allocation, and traceability across system and software domains including fault reactions and fail-safe strategies.
Support system validation through HIL/SIL/MIL testing, vehicle testing, issue resolution, and engage in AI/ML-based solutions for predictive braking and diagnostics.
Minimum Requirements
6–8 years experience in automotive system engineering with software development for commercial vehicle pneumatic braking and Brake ECU functions.
Proficient with MATLAB/Simulink, embedded software development in C, and automotive communication protocols (CAN, J1939, UDS).
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Control Systems, Embedded Systems, or related engineering discipline.
Strong knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262), safety analysis, diagnostics, fault handling, and ASIL concepts.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in model-based development and auto-code generation workflows specific to Brake ECU features for commercial vehicles.
Capable of independently handling complex system development environments including requirements management (DOORS) and configuration management.
Comfortable working with global cross-functional teams and engaging in customer-facing technical discussions.
