Analyze requirements and develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies for the LOCOTROL® Distributed Power product line.
Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and communication protocol tests involving RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet, Modbus, and RF interfaces.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, LabVIEW, TestStand or similar tools; support lab setup and troubleshoot hardware/software issues during test execution.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline from a recognized university.
4–6 years of experience in Software Verification & Validation, Software Testing, or System Validation.
Experience in safety-critical domains such as Railway, Locomotive, Aerospace, Automotive, or Industrial Automation.
Good understanding of SDLC and STLC; experience with requirements-based testing and defect management processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in verification activities with clear understanding of requirements traceability and software testing methodologies.
Proficient in automation scripting with tools like Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, and comfortable with communication protocol testing.
Capable of collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Systems Engineers, and Software Engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and mentor junior engineers.
