About This Role
- Own full software implementation lifecycle for embedded systems, including requirements analysis, design, coding, verification, and release control.
- Lead coordination and planning of software activities for brake systems and other rail products, ensuring adherence to coding standards and documentation quality.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and support design verification/validation both in laboratories and at customer sites domestically and internationally.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or Electronics Engineering.
- 2 to 8 years of hands-on experience in embedded real-time software design and development.
- Strong proficiency in C programming and experience with embedded application software development including bare metal programming.
- Experience with Git and familiarity with embedded software development tools (e.g., IDEs, debuggers).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in embedded system software development with ability to lead software projects and teams in regulated environments.
- Capable of managing software process compliance including coding standards, documentation, and secure software lifecycle activities.
- Comfortable working in cross-disciplinary and international settings, including travel for test validations and client interactions.
