Lead development, integration, and validation of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation solutions for locomotive control systems.
Develop physics-based plant models using MATLAB/Simulink, Simscape, and Stateflow, supporting real-time code generation for HIL platforms.
Manage HIL simulator integration, maintain automated verification environments, perform system debugging, and document technical deliverables.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Control Systems, Computer Science, or related engineering field.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in real-time embedded systems and HIL design, development, integration, and validation.
Hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, Stateflow, and COTS HIL platforms like Concurrent Real-Time, OPAL-RT, or NI PXI.
Minimum 3 years of LabVIEW experience plus familiarity with Git/GitLab and industrial communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS-232/485).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in full lifecycle delivery of HIL solutions including requirements definition through commissioning with physics-based plant and propulsion system models.
Strong technical leadership and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams in complex embedded control environments.
