Structured overview of role & requirementsAbout This Role
Own System and Subsystem Design requirements for Energy management features on locomotives including creating detailed design documents (DOORs, Product Descriptions, ICDs, FMEAs).
Drive execution of design, analysis, and evaluation for assigned projects adhering to engineering principles and business standards.
Collaborate with Software, QA, System architects, and Validation engineers to develop, validate, and enhance embedded system functionalities and ensure traceability between design and test plans.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Controls, Electronics, or Computer Science disciplines.
6-9 years of technical experience with at least 5 years in hands-on embedded systems design and software development.
Strong knowledge of embedded systems, real-time OS (QNX/Linux), and protocols like DDS, MQTT, CAN bus, Ethernet, TCP/IP, REST APIs.
Location requirement: Must be willing to work onsite in Bangalore, India.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven experience leading embedded system design for energy management or similar real-time systems in locomotive, automotive, or aerospace domains.
Comfortable working with model-based design tools (MATLAB/Simulink), INCOSE systems engineering standards, and complex cross-functional global teams.
Capable of driving technical solutions independently with a strong focus on system validation, risk mitigation, and maintaining technical quality across projects.
