Lead design, development, deployment, and maintenance of Caterpillar’s digital platform hosting various applications.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on Java, cloud, and API solutions.
Ensure implementation of secure, scalable, and high-performance software using modern architectural patterns and CI/CD pipelines.
Minimum Requirements
14+ years of experience in software design, development, deployment, and maintenance at scale.
Hands-on expertise in Java, J2EE, cloud platforms (at least 3 years deploying on public clouds like Azure).
Strong knowledge of JPA, Hibernate, SQL, Spring, JUnit, REST/JSON web services, microservices, API design and testing tools.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GoCD, Azure DevOps), Agile (Scrum), modern authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT), and cybersecurity best practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven ability to lead engineering teams in building large-scale, cloud-native Java applications with complex integrations.
Experience working with API management platforms (Apigee, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Manager) and test-driven development frameworks.
Strong analytical skills with deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals, multi-threading, and performance optimization.
