About This Role
- Develop and maintain high-performance backend Node.js applications and APIs deployed on AWS, Azure, or similar hyperscale cloud platforms focused on driving revenue growth.
- Design and implement edge compute solutions using platforms like Akamai Edge Workers, AWS Lambda Edge, or CloudFront Functions.
- Lead architectural decisions, design NoSQL and search databases, and mentor engineering peers to uphold high code quality and best practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in API development with expertise in Python, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating Node.js applications on AWS, GCP, Azure or similar cloud platforms with knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
- Experience with edge execution models, NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB), and search technologies (e.g., OpenSearch).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in architecting scalable backend services with a focus on performance optimization and cost/risk trade-offs.
- Proficient in modern cloud-native infrastructure and edge compute design, capable of influencing engineering teams and decision makers.
- Familiar with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot), CI/CD pipelines, and distributed team environments.
