Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer

Lead architecture, design, implementation, testing, and integration of embedded software stack for Ethernovia's networking devices including firmware, kernel/user mode device drivers, and testing utilities.

Develop firmware and device drivers for safety-critical automotive communication devices, ensuring robust hardware-software interaction and compliance with functional safety standards.

Drive implementation of automated unit and system tests to ensure software reliability and participate actively in maintaining safety and best development practices.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software, or related field.

Minimum 18+ years of embedded software development experience.

Proficiency in C/C++ programming; Python experience is a plus.

Experience with firmware development, especially for Ethernet communication devices, including hardware interaction and embedded processors.

Extensive experience working on embedded firmware and communication device drivers in safety-critical environments such as automotive.

Strong technical leadership capabilities managing full software lifecycle from architecture to testing, with a focus on safety and quality standards.

Comfortable driving development in fast-growing, innovative startup environments focused on cutting-edge networking and embedded systems technology.
