About This Role
- Design, develop, test, and deploy employer benefits solutions using modern technologies and test-driven development practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, customers, and stakeholders to address challenges in the employee benefits landscape, driving decisions through data and continuous improvement.
- Support and improve live applications with proactive monitoring, incident response, and promote best engineering practices like TDD, microservices, and vertical slice architectures.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Angular and/or React, experience building and consuming REST APIs, and proven track record of comprehensive unit testing.
- Proficient in C#, Python (if applicable), Docker, ASP.NET RESTful API design, Kafka/event-driven design, and modern RDBMS (MS SQL, Postgres, MySQL).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in full software development lifecycle in Agile environments focusing on cloud-native applications and services.
- Has strong software security knowledge aligned with OWASP guidelines and proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
- Able to work independently on complex projects with demonstrated ability to mentor peers and become a subject matter expert in their functional area.
